Eufaula Police Department

The Eufaula Police Department is dedicated to the goal of protecting the citizens of Eufaula and providing the highest level of public service.  We provide safety and security to the citizens by establishing partnerships with the community.  The officers of the Police Department are dedicated men and women who work demanding, but rewarding hours.  All officers are involved in the Community Policing Program aimed at involving citizens and improving communication with the public we serve.  

The Eufaula Police Department is under the leadership of Chief James C. West.  The department has 40 POST-certified patrol officers assigned to various positions throughout the department, two full time animal control officers, six school crossing guards, 15 communications officers, and two administrative personnel.  Four correction officers directed by a jail administrator, manage the operation of a 21-bed on-site detention facility for inmates sentenced from Eufaula Municipal Court for misdemeanor offenses.  The Eufaula Police Department has a Special Operations Division, which consists of a drug unit and a tactical operations team.  In addition, one resource officer is assigned to the schools. .

The values of the Eufaula Police Department shall serve as a foundation for all facets of the Eufaula Police Department, and the following values are the basis of all functions of the Eufaula Police Department:
